Idea!- Advertising Your Doll Stuff that's for Sale

Hey butterflies! So I will probably be doing this thing where I advertise AG/doll stuff that you are selling on my blog! I could also advertise your Etsy Shops if any of you have one! All you would have to do is email me (my email is listed on the "contact me" tab) pictures of the doll item that you are selling, the price, and your name (and website if you have one). I would only be advertising, so if someone is interested in purchasing your item, YOU would be dealing with them directly. I would not be liable for anything, and you would have to have a parent/guardian's permission for you to sell stuff and for me to advertise. I think that this would be fun and helpful, and I possibly would sell stuff too! If you are interested in having me advertise for you, email me with any questions you may have and we can go on from there!

Photography Tips and Tricks for Amateur Doll Photographers- with Mar

Hey butterflies! Since I have gotten my camera, I have been learning some tips and tricks for doll photography! Literally nobody in my family is interested in photography, so that left me to rely on my common sense, friends, and the internet for some help! XD When I first got my camera, @agmarvelsuperheroes on Instagram gave me some tips on how to use it and how to take good photos! With her tips and some other help, I think my photography has definitely improved!

Now for some tips!

Tip #1: If you want to get good bokeh, make sure that you are taking pictures in an area with trees or bushes. Also, back far away from the doll/object and zoom!

Tip #2: If your dolls don't stand well, sit them on a stool and take pictures! I began to do this, and it helps! You can also get better bokeh if the area you photograph at has trees!

Tip #3: Try different angles! This is really important! You do not want for all of your pictures to look the same, so try to photography the side profile of your doll. Or maybe an aerial view! You can also take pictures underneath your doll's head!

Tip #4: Use focus and zoom. If you don't use focus, your pictures will come out blurry and will be hard to view. Try to focus only on your doll if you want bokeh. Also, I recommend using auto focus instead of manual focus if you're a beginner.

Tip #5: If you're not happy with how your photos come out, do not be discouraged! Just keep on trying and your photography will most likely improve! Using a camera, may be overwhelming at first, but once you get a hang of things you'll be fine! For more tips, you can ask other doll photographers or read a photography magazine!

Country Rose Cafe- Restaurant Review

Hey! Today's post will be a lot different from my usual posts, as today I will be reviewing a restaurant that I ate at today! It is called,"Country Rose Cafe". Here is their sign:

When walking into the restaurant, you can easily view a lot of country-themed decor. Actually, I am just going to skip to a review of the food! I ordered a Mr. Pibb soft drink and a plain burger (just the bread and meat, since I am very picky). As soon as I took my first bite of the burger, I knew that I loved it! It was so so so delicious and my family agreed! This is a short review, but if you are ever in Hollister, CA make sure to stop by Country Rose Cafe!

Reyna Photoshoot- Continuing...

Today, I decided to do something a bit different. I will be sharing a story that I wrote that is narrated by my doll Karmel with you guys! I hope you enjoy, and if you guys do make sure to let me know in the comments!:

I practically pawed at my iPad, like a cat would paw at a door, attempting to shut off my annoying alarm. Eventually I was able to, so I figured I'd check the time. " What?! It's already 7:48! School starts at 8:00, and my alarm didn't even go off at the right time! Why didn't Daisy wake me up, when she got ready for school!!" I exclaimed while hurrying to get up. With my haste, I kicked my cat off of my bed causing him to fall on the floor. Skunky then hissed, making sure to look back at me. "Oh well, he's still alive and if I don't get to school on time, I won't be!" I thought to myself, while rummaging through my dresser for something clean to wear. At this point, I didn't even care if my outfit matched, so I threw on some blue leggings and a shirt with the Eiffel Tower on it. I jogged quickly to my bathroom to brush my teeth. "Seriously! On all of the days that I could be out of toothpaste, it's today" I angrily said while grabbing Nellie's mint toothpaste. Mint, the flavor I absolutely despise. After brushing my teeth and gagging, I grabbed a comb and de-tangled my hair. I noticed my denim backpack thrown in the corner of my sister's room. While leaning over to get my bag, I saw Isabelle playing with our rabbit, but didn't bother to ask why she wasn't getting ready for school. "Karmel, why are you-" Isabelle began. " I don't have time to talk. It's 7:54, we have to get to school" I interrupted her while checking my phone for the time. I then ran downstairs to grab a bag of fruit snacks, I knew that I wouldn't have time for an actual breakfast. As soon as I entered our kitchen, I saw Samantha making waffles for everybody. "What is she doing? Samantha is always bugging me to get to school, and now that we're going to be late, she is making breakfast!" I thought to myself while glancing at the table where most of my siblings where at. "What are you wackadoodles doing?! We have school" I yelled while grabbing a half filled water bottle. "Karmel, calm down. It's the weekend, we don't have school until tomorrow. That's why I didn't wake you up" Daisy responded to my rant. My jaw dropped while I turned in the opposite direction of the kitchen. "Where are you going?" Daisy asked me curiously. "Back to bed of course. I got up for nothing." I responded with a grunt. Well, at least I'll know to get up early tomorrow!

Photoshoot with Reyna- Part 1

I took some pictures of my lovely custom doll, Reyna, yesterday on my new camera! You can also see these pictures on my Instagram, @dollswithbokeh! I changed my username by the way:) Let's get on to the pictures!

My Camera Came!!

Guess what? My camera came on Wednesday!! Also, I apologize for not blogging the last two days, I have been quite busy. Anywho, let me you show you my camera!

I got the Canon Powershot SX520.

The camera is absolutely stunning! It retails for around $399.99 but I got it from Walmart for only $199.99!! That's a great deal! It is a 16 megapixel camera and has a 42x optical zoom lens. I love it!

Overall, this camera is simply spectacular. The photo quality is astonishing! I recommend this camera. It's my first camera and it is quite easy to use, but it also has many detailed options that I still have to learn. I recommend this for any photographer!

My Doll Drawing Account on Instagram!- @dollopsdraws

Hi! So as you may know, I do have a main doll Instagram again which is @dollswithbokeh, but what you probably do not know is that I have a doll drawing account! So drawings of doll photos have been trending, and I figured why not make doll drawings! They are all drawn by me, and here are some examples:)

My Aspen Heights Poster(s) Came!!

Hi butterflies! So I am a huge fan of AGSmiless's thrilling AGTube series, Aspen Heights, and I ordered two posters of the show from her Etsy! I purchased the Season 5 poster feat. all of the main characters, and I bought one for @creativeagdolls's (on Instagram and YouTube) dolls to have! Let me show you:)

I love how Alexis wrote "Oh my cows potatoes" on the envelope! Lol
